This web site was done in my Applied I.C.T class and took a long time and a lot of concentration. I made this website in dream weaver and used images found on the Internet. The task I am doing now requires me to have my own video, imagery and own information. This may take a while longer as I have to make everything before I continue to the concentration of my site. I also need to find a host so people can view my website when it is completed.

Conventions of Ident
For T.V Idents there are many things that have to be included in the making of one. There are things that also have to make the ident memorable to the viewers and also entice them into the channel. The aspects such as the density of information, timing, tempo and viewer interaction have to be carefully constructed. most idents last only a short time and this is apporximatly 30-40 seconds.

Technologies that support my video on line.
Real Player; RealPlayer is a closed source cross-platform media player by RealNetworks that plays a number of multimedia formats including MP3, MPEG-4 and more.
Flash Video; Flash Video is a container file format used to deliver video over the Internet using Adobe Flash Player versions 6–10. Flash Video content may also be embedded within SWF files. There are two different video file formats known as Flash Video: FLV and F4V. The audio and video data within FLV files are encoded in the same way as they are within SWF files. The latter F4V file format is based on the ISO base media file format and is supported starting with Flash Player 9 update 3.Both formats are supported in Adobe Flash Player and currently developed by Adobe Systems. FLV was originally developed by Macromedia.
Quick Time;QuickTime is an extensible Proprietart multimedia framework developed by Apple Inc. Capable of handling various formats of digital video, picture, sound, panoramic images and interactivity. It is available for Mac OS classic (System 7 onwards), Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows operating systems. The latest version is QuickTime X (10.0) and is currently only available on Mac OS X v10.6.
Windows Media Video;Windows Media Player (abbreviated WMP) is a proprietary digital media player and media library application developed by Microsoft that is used for playing audio, video and viewing images on personal computers running the Microsoft Windows operating system, as well as on Pocket PC and Windows Mobile-based devices. Editions of Windows Media Player were also released for Mac OS, Mac OS X and Solaris but development of these has since been discontinued.
In addition to being a media player, Windows Media Player includes the ability to rip music from and copy music to compact discs, burn recordable discs in Audio CD format or as data discs with playlists such as an MP3 CD, synchronize content with a digital audio player (MP3 player) or other mobile devices, and enable users to purchase or rent music from a number of online music stores. Windows Media Player replaced an earlier application called Media Player, adding features beyond simple video or audio playback.
DivX; is a brand name of products created by DivX, Inc. (formerly DivXNetworks, Inc.), including the DivX Codec which has become popular due to its ability to compress lengthy video segments into small sizes while maintaining relatively high visual quality. There are two DivX codes; the regular Mpeg-4 Part 2 DivX codec and theH.264/MPEG-4AVC DivX Plus HD codec. It is one of several codecs commonly associated with "ripping", whereby audio and video multimedia are transferred to a hard disk and transcoded.

Audiance Research
For my audiance research I have hosted a poll on my blog. The questions I asked where; What would you rather cook? The response to this was that 62% of people asked prefer to cook a cake, 38% of people like to cook Soups, Starters and Main courses. Are you one for cooking? The response i got from this one was 83% said yes they are for cookingand again 16% said no they are not ones for cooking that much. What is your age group? The response i gain from this was one i wasnt expecting at all. I thought most people would be of the younger age group learning for when they moved out or maybe went on to a university. My answer where; 16% where aged 0-16 50% where aged 17-25 33% where aged 25+ My final question was are you Male or Female? This reply was again most shoking as i thought it would be majority female however 50% male and female viewed my blog. This has helped me as I now know who I am aiming my website or T.V Channel at. I shall aim it at a mid aged audiance those who are in university or leaving home. This is about ages 17-30. I think any one can learn to cook at any age.

This is a video on how to cook a chocolate cake. The first thing I noticed that the vieo maker did was introduced his ingrediants. He then explains what he is doing and why he is doing it. He then shows us what we are doing and how we are to do it, he shows us the starting product and then how it is meant to look hen he has done what he intended to. He also shows us what we are to do and how to do it. This helps the viewer if they want to make the cake as they can see it step by step. The camera is situated close to what he is doing and shows only what he is doing and not on himself. While he is making the cake he is talking to the camera.
This video has given me an idea how to creat mine however the cake being made in my video is going to be different and I am going to try and create the video in silence and i'm going to try a voice over which will be slightly different.
Layout of pages.
This is how I am intending my site to look. Each box contins some thing different.

This is my navigation system and i have created a little key in the bottom corner.
In my navigation web there are many ovals and each one is a different page. The only ones that are not a page of their own would be the ones with the hyperlinks in. These will be on the page about the chefs and the hyperlinks will be some where on this page. These are the official sites.
