This website is constructed very poorly as it does not let you know when another page is loading, however when you click on a link it can load quite fast which means there must be an accelerator within the site. This site also refreshes when the user clicks on a link or searches for their own recipes.
This site has many links which could be easily clicked on and this could then annoy the user if they are not what is wanted. For example Jamie Oliver's site lets you join his Facebook group and follow him on Twitter. This is not what every one wants however this problem is easily resolved. When you click on the links to Facebook or Twitter a new window opens up and this is then easily closable there for the error made by you is then resolved. However when you click on a recipe or a link to something within Jamie's site that is about Jamie or his cooking the site just refreshes to the new page. The only way to get back to the page u was on is either click the back link arrow on the internet page or go to home and then find your way back from there.
This website is good for a reader’s memory space as it keeps all the options on show and in the same space every time the page changes. When a reader looks at this text it is easy to follow as it is paragraphed and also lets you see what you want. This site runs quite quickly which may suggest that there is an accelerator within the site. This site is straight forward and lets you know what you are looking at and is simple to follow. Each article, story, recipe, and gallery has its own page and headline. They are also set separately by a coloured back ground or a headline that is pale blue with a pale blue line underlining the mast head of the article.
This website also helps the user with their memory space. The navigation bar does this job by staying in the same place with the buttons and text in the same order. If there is some thing on the home page that interests the reader of this site then it is easy to access however if they are looking for a recipes to cook from they would have to choose either one. If a user choose to look at the recipes and still wanted to look at the video it would be in the same place when they went back.
I have looked around this site and no problems have been see however I think if the site had any mishaps or errors it would explain in plain English to the user what to do and what not to do. The site i suspect would use no code and hopefully just tell the user straight. The images on this site are also very good quality and the videos are also very good. They show the reader exotically what they want to see.
Jamie Oliver’s site is consistent right through and has subtle colours which will not put the reader off. This site is also very easy to navigate around, even those who have not visited the site before could use this site and get what they want. This site has another easy way to navigate around and this is shown by the heading “SHORTCUTS”. This is at the bottom of the web page and constantly on al the others.
